1. The shelf life
Did you know that potting soil usually only contains nutrients for one or two months? After that period it is a good idea to add plant food. Don’t feel like that? Then use special soil to which fertilizer has been added. That way you don’t have to immediately switch to plant food.
2. Potting soil or garden soil?
Potting soil is different from garden soil. Garden soil is heavier and potting soil is also a collective name for different types of soil or soil. The name says it all: garden soil is used for large outdoor plants and potting soil is used for plants in a flower pot or planter.
